Terms and Conditions

By booking a ticket to a ‘singlemuslimmatchmaking.co.uk’ event, you acknowledge your acceptance of the ‘singlemuslimmatchmaking.co.uk’ terms and conditions and warrant that you have the right, authority and capacity to enter into this agreement and to abide by all of our terms and conditions as defined below.

1. By registering with ‘singlemuslimmatchmaking.co.uk’ you warrant that you are at least 18 years old and that you are single.

2. When booking for our events singlemuslimmatchmaking.co.uk your ticket cannot be transferred to anyone else.

3. We cannot and do not verify personal information on our guests, such as marital status, or any other aspects of their general background. It is your responsibility to verify personal information to your own satisfaction and we recommend that you do so.

4. Please approach any contact with our guests with the same caution you would undertake when meeting other people for the first time.

5. We will not divulge your contact or personal details to anyone without your express permission, unless required to do so by law.

6. We may use your contact details to inform you of future events, which we think, may be of interest to you.

7. If due to any unforeseen circumstances we are no longer able to hold an event at the venue as originally planned, we reserve the right to move the event to an alternative venue. In this unlikely instance, we will always provide our guests with as much notice as possible.

8. You, the customer, have the right to cancel your order within 7 days of purchase and have your payment refunded. To cancel you order please email us at: info@ummah-marriage-events.co.uk. Please have your order reference number, as provided in your order confirmation email, to hand. After this time we are not able to accept cancellations. However, if you are able to provide us with at least 7 days notice, prior to the event you are due to attend, we will endeavour to move you to another event, you will be charged an additional £20.00 administration fee to transfer your ticket. No refunds will be given if you do not attend or choose to cancel a booking you have made after this period.

9. We do our utmost to ensure that the ratio of males to females at all events is a 50/50 ratio. However, due to potentially unforeseen circumstances on the day of the event, we accept no responsibility for either an uneven ratio, or shortfall in male or female guests at the event, preventing this from being possible.

10. We reserve the right to refuse admission or to expel, without refund, guests who become abusive and/or offensive to other guests at an event.

11. We take no responsibility for any emotional distress, or physical injury that may arise from communications with other guests registered with ‘singlemuslimmatchmaking.co.uk’, without limitation, either during, or at any stage after one of our events.

12. We accept no responsibility for any content arising in any written or verbal communications which may arise from one of our events where members of the press are in attendance.

13. ‘singlemuslimmatchmaking.co.uk’ events are held at venues across the UK over which we have no control. Therefore, in the event that you are injured, or suffer damages to yourself or your personal items, of any kind at one of our events, you agree to release ’singlemuslimmatchmaking.co.uk’ from any liability with respect thereof.

14. We reserve the right to cancel any event and provide a full refund, but no other compensation, in this unlikely case.

15. When you book an event with ‘singlemuslimmatchmaking.co.uk’, you must supply a daytime telephone number OR mobile phone number for at least ONE guest on the booking. In the event that we are forced to cancel an event due to circumstances beyond our control, we will NOT take any responsibility for Guests who arrive at an event unless they have supplied us with telephone contact details.

16. Every care is taken to ensure that information on the ‘singlemuslimmatchmaking.co.uk’ website is correct and accurate; however we cannot guarantee that this will always be possible.

17. Please Arrive Promptly, entry to the event is only allowed during the first 30 minutes and late attendees may be refused entry to the event after it has started. This is designed to reduce disruption to the event.

18. Our singles events are open to all muslims who inform us they are single. We will be holding special events for specific groups i.e. reverts. From the information provided by you in our personal information form, we may offer our advice and inform you if there is an event suited more specific to your needs i.e. if you are looking to marry a pakistani person only, we will offer you the choice of attending an event where we are expecting a large number of pakistani’s, should such an event be available. This is so you can maximise your chances of finding a suitable partner. This does not mean we are advising you not to attend the event you are booked for, we are merely making a suggestion. Nor does this give you the right to cancel.

19. When booking for our matchmaking service we will endeavour to contact you with up to two potential partners a month. However if we do not have a suitable match available on our books then we will inform you of this.

20. 6 months FREE matchmaking service offer is a limited offer and is only valid once you have attended the event you booked for. Please check the book now page carefully for offer expiry dates. We reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time.

21. The Personal Matchmaking service is non-refundable. Refunds will not be issued so please make sure you are happy with the service before you book.

22. Once you have registered with the matchmaking service and a potential match is identified, you are required to accept or reject the contact within 48 hours. If you fail to contact us within 48 hours, a final reminder email will be sent informing you that we will not be carrying out any further searches for you until you make contact with us.

23. During the blessed month of Ramadan the matchmaking service will cease for 5 weeks. All clients will receive an additional 5 weeks to their membership to ensure no loss is suffered. In the year 2009 the service will resume on the 25th September 2009.

24. If you require us to continue your search in the blessed month of Ramadan please notify us by email and we will continue your search.

25.Once introduced to a potential match, we will not carry out a further search for you until you update us of your status. It is your sole responsibilty to inform us if a match has been unsuccessful, so we may then continue searching for you.

26. Due to the fact some clients have specific criteria i.e. only require a Doctor, solicitor etc it may not always be possible to find a suitable potential each month. We will continue to search for you each month until a potential match is identified, however from time to time we may offer you a match that meets your alternative criteria, you are not obliged to accept this match but we do recommend you consider each match carefully.

27. Where a complaint is made against a client for unacceptable behaviour, this will be treated very seriously and a full investigation will be carried out. Any client who receives more then three complaints of the same nature will be removed from our service without the right to any compensation.

28. We will carry out searches for potential spouses, however we cannot guarantee any individual member will accept. If you find you have been rejected by several potential spouses we hold no responsibility for this.
